Friday morning began with breakfast with my friend Melissa and her children, Amanda and Tommy. Amanda and Preston are only two months apart. It was so nice to see Melissa and discuss the new baby that is due to arrive January 4th!
Don’t know if this is known or not, but Preston likes trains (and that was sarcasm). Therefore there was nothing more appropriate to do this time in New York than take Preston to the New York City Transit Museum in Brooklyn. To boot he took a subway to get there! The transit museum was really amazing, especially for my parents who got to walk through the subway cars they rode on as children and the advertisements on each. PaPa and Preston-two train lovers:
Uncle Chris is making sure there are no suspicious items being taken into the museum:
I think the entrance to the museum is awesome-I actually thought it was a subway entrance!
My mother bought Preston a subway hat. He states he likes the A train because it travels in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. Truth be told, the A is not really my fave. I’m more of a 4, 5,6 girl.
The onld Long Island RailRoad caboose
The redbirds-these cars went out of service in the early 2000’s for good. They gutted most of them and put them in the rivers to create reefs.
That night was dinner with the whole family and our neighbors from Virginia at Tony’s. We had to show our neighbors how we eat Italian in NYC. Chris got hot and heavy with the desserts:
Saturday was breakfast with Aunt Melski and Aunt Cheryl and then off to Mel’s parents’ home for a visit with the Perrottas! But first my siblings bid us farewell:
After that it was off to NJ to see Aunt Marrah!!! I have not seen Marrah in 18 months (unacceptable) so this reunion was so awesome. The surprise was our friend Jolie also came to NJ for dinner. What a great reunion and time to love on my “nephew” Finn! Who is gorgeous and getting so big! Of course as per usual Pres was spoiled rotten!I figured being in NJ below the Meadowlands, I’d avoid Giants traffic and then pass Baltimore prior to the Ravens game. Yeah…..that amazing ride up was smashed by the horrific NINE hours ride home from mid Jersey! Thankfully, as usual, Pres was a ROCKSTAR in the car. He was such a good boy! Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Great shots of you and the girls!! also loved the transit museum pics- that entrance was so cool. Kind of makes me want to go.
On another note, once again Preston is SO lucky to you have you and your family in his life. Its unfortunate that his sperm donor of a father, chooses to do things to make him sad. Its unfortunate that his petty petty petty games are costing a FIVE year old's happiness. NO MATTER what though, he cant take the LOVE that preston has for you away no matter how hard he tries. I hope he burns in hell.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! So glad I got to see you guys!! xoxoxox
Now to plan our May/June trip! :)
Love you and Preston very much!!! It was great to see you both...xoxo
Oh my gosh...that museum is awesome. Seamus would be beside himself. Hope to make a visit someday! Love Preston's hat!
That museum looks awesome and what a cool entrance! Love Preston's excitement! We'll have to add this to places to visit when we go to Long Island this summer - Simon and Jude would have so much fun! Great pictures!!
It looks like you and Pres had a great time visiting in NJ too! Sorry about the car ride, but yay for Pres always being a rockstar in the car!
