Mr. Cool and You've Been Boo'D!

Preston is Mr. Joe Cool, the cat's meow, etc. with his new backpack. My mother found a totally Preston-sized backpack at JFK Airport last week. It is also very appropriate for our post-season madness that is going on here. As soon as Preston saw this he immediately put his toys in the bag and wore it all night. Now it comes to school everyday and he brings his blanket for naptime back and forth just to have something to put in the bag. I get a little teary seeing him with the backpack. As you know, we are approaching Halloween, the day that started the roller coaster that I entitle "Let's Just tell a Very Pregnant Woman her Baby will Die." And here he is, with his backpack. In school. Learning so much.

Last week I was informed by him that "a continent is a body of land surrounded by water." I almost passed out when he said that! He went on to tell me there are seven continents and I taught him there are four oceans as well. This week he is learning about icebergs and told me when ice and snow melt they become water. I am thinking of printing out this post and sending it to Columbia Presbyterian to those nice doctors who completely misdiagnosed him. A-holes.

So without further ado-here is Pres and his backpack!
And for you girls---I thought this was so cool. Preston was boo'd today! In our neighborhood someone left a pumpkin filled with treats on our doorstep. He got candy and a book and Teddy Grahams! He was so beyond excited. You don't know who leaves it for you but then you have to fill up two pumpkins and leave it on other kids' doorsteps. Once you have been boo'd you hang a sign on your door. We filled our pumpkins with a bunch of great stuff from Target-Halloween pencils, stickers, bubbles, fruit snacks, candy bars, ring pops. We are so exciting to boo our neighbors. I thought that if anyone wants to try here are the two sheets that came with our pumpkin (so you would need two copies of each per pumpkin)

Maybe short in stature but very, very big in the brainpower category, huh! LOVE the Boo'd game. I may have to try it in the neighborhood and let Cat in on it too.

That is one awesome backpack! Although he may need it in a bigger size when he starts toting his books around Yale! Preston, you are the coolest. I love the Boo'd game, except our neighbors are all prety much recluses...I doubt they'd continue the fun! Any luck with the red dragon yet?

The Boo'd game is pretty cool - I'll bet he was excited when he saw a bunch of stuff on the porch for him...who wouldn't be?! :o)

He looks so proud of that backpack, love that he's lecturing you on trivia now...how fun! :o) Start studying up for the "why is the sky blue?" type questions!

I see that Preston is very proud of his backpack. It looks great. Perfect size for him. Years ago I got boo'd. It's a cute idea. There was a children's book last year that was sold by Kohl's that had a cute Christmas giving story. The mom (or grandma) made backed goods and then late at night left them by the neighbors door. I thought about trying that this year. New twist on a secret santa.

Those pictures were well worth the wait. I have the coolest godson EVER. And the smartest. Which is a good thing because he will have to teach a lot of what he learns at school to his dad who has trouble understanding the words, Arrears, payments and support. Perhaps Pres can enlighten him!

Hi! I am not sure if I posted before but i have read some of your posts, most recently your account of your pregnancy...I cried... I was "lucky enough" not to know prenatally about Max. It seems like they get it wrong most of the time! Preston is so very handsome! I do feel that we are so blessed with our little achons :-) They are so special and it shows what wonderful and amazing things can come in small packages! I have a blog (although I feel I can't even call it that after your work of literary art here!...you are so witty..mine is too factual..I am working on it!) www.whatisbig.blogspot.com if you would like to visit and see my little Max :-)

Love how proud he looks about his backpack! It sounds like you live in a very cool neighborhood! Any luck finding the red dragon. Do you know Mulan from Disney the dragon is red. You might be able to find it at the Disney store.
Here is one on e-bay...http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Catalog-MUSHU-Halloween-Costume-4T-Mulan_W0QQitemZ350260730966QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518d2a9c56
