Here is my handsome dude in the front garden-where he should not be, but I could not resist the cute picture…
And here we are at the pool. Thanks to my mom who got some great action shots! Unfortunately it rained today so we could not go in after school-maybe tomorrow. Preston just needs some ear plugs-his tubes are still in miraculously and he is doing very well going under water and coming up and blinking away the water! My goal is to have him swimming like a fish in no time. I had passed a teacher’s aide swimming course so I feel that I should be able to teach my child to swim!
And being the true lawyer, I called the Homeowner’s Association last week to report that the coping around the pool was too slippery (who puts non porous brick around a pool)? They did not call me back. Now they are on notice. See my education was worthwhile! LOL!

So cute! Such a smiley boy. Takes after his mom!
Aidan would have a blast in that pool. He just loves water. Aidan finished his 2nd year of swim lessons. This one really helped him out, especially having goggles. Now he isn't afraid of going under the water plus he is one of the few at this point to not need tubes so that makes it a bit easier on him for swimming. Every picture of Pres is such a cute smiley one...just love him to pieces. I need to get a few of his hats for Aidan too.
How cute! There is nothing better than hanging out by the pool on hot summer days!
He is too cute. I love the way he looks in hats. He take such good picture. My girls enjoy being in the pool whether it hot or cold. They love the water.....
Very cute pics! I'm thinking he didn't want to take his shirt off because you've made him such a fashionista that he was afraid his hat wouldn't match his trunks! :o)
Preston is just too cute. He looks like he loves the swimming. What are you doing to keep the water out of his ears now? I had Tori with some little plugs and the headband thingy that I posted a pic of ages ago. They aren't the most attractive thing but if you would like one, let me know and I will post one to you....you will just need to let me know his head measurement.
What a handsome dude! Maybe you could procure some of the rash guard shirts from Gap or Old Navy - that's what Trace wears swimming. Oh, and I have done some research and found several studies that unless a child has very sensitive ears or they are going to be going under water more than a few feet, that water cannot get through the tubes anyway, and it doesn't matter - thus we have ditched the earplugs and haven't had any problems. Now if we were swimming in a lake or some other non-sanitized water source, then I'll use them, but otherwise, not worth it.
Love that lawayer side of you! That's too funny about the shirt thing! I didn't think kids cared about that stuff until much older...guess I was wrong! Pres is just a handsom little guy! Long lost bros for sure...both LOVE the water!
Awesome pics!! My ENT agrees with Destini and feels that ear plugs are not necessary in a pool or bathtub...maybe you could get your ENT to concur? Seamus was an absolute fish in the ocean, but the pool...forget it! Maybe if I show him pictures of Pres swimming, he'll be more into it. That would be so great if you could teach him to swim! I'll be truly jealous! Have fun, can't wait to see more pics!
I love the picture of him laughing in the pool! I think it's great he loves the water so much. I'm going to see if I can find him a little rash guard for the water. He'll be a surfer dude in no time!
You must get tired of hearing how cute Preston is :) I love his pool pics....too adorable!! That is a great pool, and you look great too by the way!
Great pics and great pool. our ENT wasnt worried about fern wearing earplugs in a pool either..said bath water was dirtyier and more of a problem. i did used to use one of the head bands but more to keep her hair out of her face than water out of her ears..it kept slipping off her ears
What a cutie!! Maybe it feels funny for him to be outside without a shirt on. I agree about tubes. I had a long talk with our ENT about that - especially since Liz is now on her FOURTH set, and she said all the studies show NO difference with ear plugs as far as increased infections or even causing tubes to fall out.
Preston is so cute in his orange hat and shirt. He must really like having his picture taken and swimming. Good luck with the bricks and the pool.
What a serious cutie....we have to get Madeline and Preston together sometime. It would be too cute to stand! :) We are planning on Nashville next year. Did I read that you are too or did I dream that?
Also, Madeline has tubes and our doc told us that she didn't need the tubes for swimming...only soapy water. ?? I had tubes when I was a kid and I had to cover my ears for swimming. Maybe it depends on the doctor?
Kim, you are such an amazing mom. I know your profession keeps your schedule super busy but I can tell that it doesn't for one second keep you from spending quality time with Preston. Look how happy he is in all the pictures! Something tells me that Preston is going to be a little fish by the end of the summer. Enjoy!
Awww!!! Look at him enjoying a great day splashing it on up! He is way too cute with his matching hat! Great pictures Kim!
Kim!
I got behind on the blog world :0( I LOVE the disclaimer in your previous post! I still can't believe the nerve of some! The Busch Garden pictures were fun ... I love the then and now one :0)
Very cool Preston is digging the water. Caden hasn't showed much interest in his kiddie pool yet ... we just set up our big "trash" one the other day so we will give that a try.
I'm glad Preston's shark got to go to the pool with you guys!!!
Adorable - Preston is one handsome dude!! Great pictures - love his hat! Preston's excitement in the pool is too cute! I had planned on taking Simon to swimming lessons this summer, but we are waiting til next year. Good luck teaching Preston - I bet you won't be able to get him out of the pool by the end of summer!
He is just too cute in that pool! Parker still hates to get his face wet, so we'll see about putting his head under next summer.
I found you through my friend, Chelsea's blog. (Sparrow tales)
Your boy is unbelievably cute!
What a great pictures! Pres is sooooo adorable and cute. I love his smile!
